Welcome!

My name is Allison and I graduated from Appalachian State in Boone, NC, a few years ago. During the transitional post-graduate "What am I going to do next" months, I was blessed to have the support of my family to embrace my passion for pet portraits. Initially full time, and now just evenings and weekends, I happiest when I have paint under my nails! And lets be honest... also in my hair, on my shirts, and occasionally in surprising places like my ear or nose. Though I enjoy all areas of art, I have always been drawn to painting animals. And with dogs of my own, I have never been short of willing subjects (when bribed with puppy treats, of course). I love exploring different mediums and styles of painting, but I specialize in acrylic, oil and pen and ink.
